MY APPROACH
Knowing how busy so many of us are, the quality of our time together and our relationship matters greatly to me. In the first couple of sessions, we’ll get to know each other and discuss what brings you into counseling, I’ll gather some history, and then we’ll develop goals and intentions for our time together.

I tend to work well with...

Clients who are curious, self-reflective, want to grow and heal past wounds, and those who are able to function without requiring a higher level of care such as partial hospitalization or in-patient services. Most of my clients are young and middle-aged women.

My counseling philosophy is strengths-based in nature and grounded in acceptance, non-judgment, and collaboration. I use an integrative and trauma-informed approach, incorporating multiple theories including psychodynamic, person-centered, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) with elements of somatic, narrative, attachment, mindfulness, and emotion-focused work. I help clients develop tools in the present to manage current circumstances and also trace concerns to their root to heal longstanding wounds from the past. In addition, exploring intersectionality and a person’s varying identities while developing self-awareness, self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-compassion are key tenets within my practice.
It is important to me for you feel heard, supported, and accepted. I look forward to working together to create the therapeutic experience you’re hoping for!
